My wife bought a waste composted soil ECOmposter the ball good. The large ball shape has been designed to operate waste to the mix, as is composting. He thought it would be a good idea to involve our Great Dane in the lamination process. He loves the work, as you can see, with the head and shoulder to push to get the ball around the yard. Sometimes, as in this video, it rolls into a large circle, which is preferred - but eventually you will find on the back of the court, which runs about 50 pushfeet down a steep hill. At that point he just barks until we roll it back up the hill to start the game all over again.

We've been composting in our homemade worm bin for 5 months now. Through trials and tribulations, we've learned a lot about the right environment for worms! In fact we experimented so much, that we managed to decimate our entire worm population. *Sigh*. Master composter and Freshtopia diva, Barb Finnin, came by to see how our worm bin was doing after all this time. Thank goodness she was so encouraging! She helped us haul our semi-composted compost (and dead worm population) to our new backyard composting bins where it can still be useful. We also get a look at a Wriggly Wranch-a multi-layered worm bin that our neighbors purchased at a discount from our county waste management. Seems that if you can get the discount, the layered method is the way to go. We will try again using homemade methods, but this time we'll have a little bit more knowledge to keep our worms alive. Use & Care:

The Garden Composter is shipped unassembled. Snap-together assembly requires no tools.

Remove the drum from its shipping position. Snap the cradle into the drum bearings (big end first). Install the shaft and handle. Put 4" bearing end in place. Secure the drum in place by installing the drum cap. Put optional rollers in place.
