Building "green" in the construction building industry is a standard that is becoming common practice. Many new developments are considered "green" homes. The advantage of green deconstruction is to help maintain the health of the planet by salvaging as much recyclable material from buildings and allowing them to be used in current construction and donations.

Although, green demolition is more time consuming and requires more labor than a simple demolition, with green demolition, however, you are not only earning tax credits, you are protecting and lengthening the life of the earth, which makes the balance of the additional time involved, valuable.

Green demolition and green building are quickly advancing in the construction industry. This is a means of conserving, that was once practiced in the construction industry to save money. Today, it is a practice to help keep construction waste out of the landfills and to save in costs. Many builders are able to offer homes in new developments at a reduced price compared to the median priced homes. But, most importantly, recyclable materials are not going to waste, but are being put to good use.

Deconstructed materials such as wood floors and beams, appliances and fixtures, tile and carpet, roofing and aluminum siding, pipes and bricks can all be salvaged through deconstruction. Although green deconstruction has been practiced for many years, today it is a practice with many advantages including tax credits.
